SERVE

Get involved with our community through service. God has placed us in Merrill at this time so that we can use the talents, personalities, and abilities He has given to us to serve Him and others.  It is such a wonderful experience to serve Him in your area of giftedness! Listed below are some opportunities to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church & School. Detailed information about each area of service can be found at the bottom of this page. Select all options below where you would be interesting in serving. No experience is required for any volunteer opportunity. Training will be provided if necessary. Thank you for being a part of our Trinity family!

It takes many volunteers for our weekend services to run smoothly. There are opportunities to help serve drinks and food at Trinity Café, run the soundboard or screens during worship, greet people as they arrive at church, usher during the services or serve using your musical gifts. If you are interested in helping with any of these areas please fill out the form below.

We have volunteer opportunities that can work with anyone’s schedule and interests. If you like working with your hands we can always use help with our grounds upkeep and building maintenance. If you enjoy working behind the scenes we can always use volunteers in our church office during the weekdays. Our Sunday School ministry and youth ministry are additional places for volunteers of all abilities and interests. We would love to connect your gifts and skills with an area of service, fill out the form below to get started!

This team is a dedicated group of people who are happy to pray for and with the Trinity and Merrill community. The Prayer Leadership Team meets bi-weekly on Wednesday mornings at church. These meetings are always open for everyone to come and be a part of or to simply observe. Within the Prayer Ministry at Trinity there are also Prayer Warriors who pray from their homes over the submitted prayer requests. Information about submitting a prayer request can be found by clicking here. If you have questions or are interested in being part of this team, fill out the form above to get involved.

Laundromat volunteers are needed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-11 a.m.  Volunteer opportunities include: cleaning the floors, vacuuming the rugs, cleaning the washers & dryers thoroughly, removing trash, recycling items, wiping counters, cleaning bathroom, coin box collection, and maintaining outside premises.

Open Hearts Food Pantry is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00-4:00pm in the lower level of our church. Volunteers are needed to work during those hours and additional help is needed to collect donations, restock shelves and maintain the pantry. If you have food to donate, we will happily accept your donation. Food can be dropped off anytime the church building is open. There is a basket in our lobby to receive donations.

This group creates and sends out homemade greeting cards for shut-in Trinity members over 80 years old for their birthdays, wedding anniversaries (50th or more), Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas.  They also create cards of congratulations for our new confirmands every year, as well as our brand new members in Baptism, and make bookmarks for welcome packets for new Trinity members.

This group provides all of their own materials for these greeting cards and are monetarily self-supported. However, they would be very appreciative of any cardstock, envelopes, adhesive, or paper supplies you may have on hand that you are not using!  They are especially in need of help with postage stamps for the hundreds of cards they mail each year.

The Blessing Stampers would also happily welcome anyone, whether you are experienced in stamping or paper-crafting or not. They would be thrilled to teach you!  If you are new to stamping and have no supplies or tools, we would still love to have your hands to help us create these awesome cards for our elderly Trinity members!  Children 8 years of age and older (accompanied by an adult) are also welcome.  What a super fun way to serve Trinity!

If you wish to become a Blessing Stamper or if you wish to donate any of these supplies, contact Melissa Price at 715-722-0225 or fill out the form above for more information.  Supplies and stamps may be dropped off to the church office.

A group of people from Trinity gather weekly on Mondays during the school year from 1-3 p.m. to put quilts together.  These quilts are distributed to people in need locally and abroad. Anyone is invited to join them! It’s a great way to enjoy time together and make a big difference in the lives of those in need. No sewing or quilting experience is needed and there are a variety of jobs that need to be done.
