CARE

Prayer Team

OUR VISION & PURPOSE IS:

  • To work together, and with others, seeking to raise up the entire congregation and all things in prayer.
  • To becoming a people of God who truly do engage in praying for each other.
  • To pray for the spiritual growth of the congregation.
  • To bring glory to our Triune God.

You can submit a prayer request at any time by emailing  JEAN or ELAINE. You can also submit a prayer request using the prayer cards available at all worship services in the pews. Our pastors pick up prayer cards during the offering to include in prayers during the service. For private prayer during the week please fill out a prayer card and put it into one of the locked boxes by the sanctuary exits.

THE TRINITY PRAYER CHAIN IS A SEPARATE MINISTRY WITHIN THE TRINITY PRAYER MINISTRY.

There are currently 21 active Prayer Warriors on this team. This team is a dedicated group of people who are happy to pray over the requests you submit from the privacy of their own homes. Additionally, a much appreciated lady helps to keep the prayer cards stocked in the pews for each of the weekend services.

For more information about getting involved as part of the Prayer Team, the Prayer Chain Warriors, or Prayer Team Leadership contact JEAN or ELAINE or click here.

West Side Laundry

West Side Laundromat is owned and operated by Trinity Lutheran Church. West Side Laundry is open 7 days a week from 6:00am-10:30pm. Dennis & Jocelyn manage the laundromat, along with volunteers Irv & Jerry, and they all do an awesome job keeping up with maintenance, and providing a warm, welcoming environment.  Customers appreciate their welcoming smiles and the clean, well-kept facility!

GriefShare Support Groups

HEALING FROM YOUR GRIEF IS NOT EASY.  IT’S A LONG, SOMETIMES PAINFUL PROCESS.

“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”  -GriefShare Attendee

We want to help you on your journey toward recovery.  If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.  This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.  GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.  The GriefShare support groups run for 13 weeks.  Meetings will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 107 N. State St., Merrill. Contact the church office to find out when the next class will begin. Check out the GriefShare website for general information: www.griefshare.org or call 715-536-5482.

International Missions

Trinity supports the work of missionary Rachel Meyer. Rachel Meyer serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Uganda. As a missionary teacher at Hope Lutheran Church and School in the village of Bufuula, she is able to share God’s Word with the students and teachers and encourage them in their walk of faith. She also assists in the music ministry of local congregations. Rachel is thankful she gets to walk alongside the Lutheran Church of Uganda as she builds Christ-centered relationships and shares God’s love with those around her.
